The BanG Dream! special summer program delivered a flood of announcements that have set the fandom abuzz. At the heart of the news was the revelation that Ave Mujica will headline their own anime movie, a first for the band and a significant expansion of their presence in the BanG Dream! franchise. This cinematic project will be accompanied by a two-man live performance with MyGO, scheduled for March 1, 2026, promising an unforgettable collaboration on stage.

Alongside this, fans were treated to the confirmation that the sequel anime series to BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica The Die is Cast is now in production. These series, already known for their intense drama and layered character arcs, will return to continue the emotional journey of the bands, offering deeper storytelling and more intricate music performances than ever before.

Ave Mujica’s sixth live concert, titled Ulterius Procedere, will be one of the key events leading into the film’s release. The Tokyo International Forum Hall A will host the first performance on December 14, 2025, followed by another grand show at the Grand Cube Osaka Main Hall on January 15, 2026. These venues, known for their scale and acoustics, are expected to elevate the group’s already dynamic stage presence.

The excitement builds further with the announcement of Ave Mujica’s third single, due this winter. This release will act as the thematic bridge to their highly anticipated 2026 live tour, which will see the band perform in multiple major cities. The tour dates are set for April 17 at Zepp Fukuoka, April 26 at Zepp Namba, May 1 at Zepp Nagoya, and May 4 at Zepp Haneda in Tokyo. Each performance will likely blend their signature theatrical storytelling with electrifying musical arrangements, ensuring fans in every location get a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Director Koudai Kakimoto, who has been instrumental in shaping the unique tone of The Die is Cast and It’s MyGO!!!!!, returns to helm the Ave Mujica film. His approach combines emotionally charged narratives with a visual style that accentuates the tension, vulnerability, and passion within the music. Ave Mujica’s role in performing both the opening song “KiLLKiSS” and the closing theme “Georgette Me, Georgette You” demonstrates their integral role in defining the anime’s identity.

The voice cast brings the story to life with remarkable depth. Kanon Takao portrays Sakiko Togawa (Oblivionis), Akane Yonezawa takes on Nyamu Yutenji (Amoris), Yuzuki Watase plays Mutsumi Wakaba (Mortis), Mei Okada embodies Umiri Yahata (Timoris), and Rico Sasaki performs as Uika Misumi (Doloris). Supporting performances from Hina Youmiya, Rin Tateishi, Hina Aoki, Mika Kohinata, and Koko Hayashi round out an ensemble capable of delivering both musical and dramatic impact.

The narrative of Ave Mujica is a rich tapestry of loss, ambition, and hidden truths. Sakiko Togawa’s life is upended in a single night, propelling her toward a darker, more complex path. She gathers other young women, each burdened by their own emotional scars and unfulfilled desires, into a carefully crafted masquerade. This world strips away any illusions of safety, love, or even the comfort of forgetting, forcing each character to confront their innermost truths. The tension lies in the uncertainty—will these masks eventually fall away, revealing raw vulnerability, or will they remain in place, allowing the characters to protect themselves from the pain of exposure? Through its blend of music, drama, and intricate character work, the story promises to resonate with audiences far beyond its core fanbase.

Since its inception in 2015 by Bushiroad president Takaaki Kidani, BanG Dream! has grown from a multimedia experiment into a cultural phenomenon. With the first anime season in 2017, the franchise steadily expanded through sequels, live events, and music releases that topped Japanese charts. Now, with the Ave Mujica film, the 2026 tour, and new anime seasons in production, BanG Dream! is poised for one of its most ambitious years to date.
