Chainsaw Man fans have reason to celebrate as the highly awaited Reze Arc movie has revealed a brand-new teaser showcasing its ending theme, “JANE DOE.” This special track comes from two of Japan’s most celebrated music icons, Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada, marking their first-ever collaboration. The fusion of Yonezu’s poetic lyricism and Utada’s soulful voice is already generating excitement, promising to elevate the film’s emotional finale.

The movie will make its Japanese debut on September 19, followed by international releases beginning September 24, before hitting U.S. theaters on October 29. Given the explosive popularity of both the Chainsaw Man franchise and its creators, these dates are already locked in the calendars of anime fans worldwide.

Produced by Studio MAPPA, the film sees Tatsuya Yoshihara stepping in as director, succeeding Ryu Nakayama from Season 1. The announcement came during MAPPA’s Anime Expo 2025 panel, which also introduced several new cast members. Among them are Hidenori Takahashi as Division 2 Vice Captain, Kenji Akabane as Nomo, Kenji Nomura as the mysterious man, and Eri Kitamura as the Typhoon Devil.

In addition to fresh faces, the production welcomes back key talents from the first season, including Masato Nakazono as assistant director, Hiroshi Seko as screenwriter, Kazutaka Sugiyama as character designer, and Kensuke Ushio as music composer. Recently released promotional visuals hint at an intense showdown between Denji and the fearsome Bomb Girl, setting the tone for an emotionally charged and action-heavy arc.

The Reze Arc picks up with Denji, now part of Special Division 4’s devil hunters, living a life constantly on the edge between dreams and danger. After a rain-soaked evening following a date with Makima, Denji takes refuge in a small café, where he meets Reze. This seemingly innocent encounter quickly spirals into a dramatic clash of trust, betrayal, and devastating battles. Adapted from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original manga  which is fully available on the MangaPLUS app and in print through Viz Media  this arc is widely regarded as one of the most gripping storylines in the Chainsaw Man universe.

With its combination of intense action, emotional storytelling, MAPPA’s signature animation quality, and the unprecedented musical pairing of Yonezu and Utada, Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc is shaping up to be an unforgettable cinematic anime experience. Fans can expect breathtaking visuals, raw emotional beats, and a finale that lingers long after the credits roll.
