The wait for One Punch Man Season 3 is nearly over, and fans have been treated to some exciting updates. The highly anticipated season revealed its new director, Shinpei Nagai, alongside a striking monster-themed key visual and a short promotional trailer. With Studio J.C. Staff once again handling the animation, the stage is set for the next chapter in Saitama’s story.

This season will officially premiere on October 5 and marks an important milestone, as 2025 also celebrates the tenth anniversary of the anime. J.C. Staff currently has two other projects lined up for the same release window, but One Punch Man remains the centerpiece with its massive global following.

In the latest trailer, viewers got a preview of the new opening theme song by JAM Project, the band that brought energy and hype to the openings of both the first and second seasons. Makoto Furukawa, the voice of Saitama, will also perform the ending theme, adding a personal touch to the season. The production staff features returning names such as Tomohiro Suzuki on series composition, Chikashi Kubota, Shinjiro Kuroda, and Ryosuke Shirakawa on character design, and Makoto Miyazaki providing the score.

The newly revealed monster visual highlights some of the most menacing enemies yet, including the fearsome Monster King Orochi, who had been teased in earlier promotional images. This new artwork contrasts with the previously released hero visual, setting up the inevitable clash between heroes and villains that will define the season.

One Punch Man began in 2009 as a webcomic created by ONE before receiving a digital manga remake illustrated by Yusuke Murata in 2012. The manga is currently serialized on Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump website, with Viz Media handling the English release. The anime’s first season, produced by MADHOUSE in 2015, became an instant sensation. J.C. Staff later took over for the second season, which aired in 2019.

The story follows Saitama, a man who trained so hard that he became absurdly powerful, capable of defeating any opponent with a single punch. Despite his unmatched strength, Saitama struggles with boredom and the lack of recognition from the Hero Association. Season 3 will continue adapting the “Hero Hunter” arc, shifting focus to the rise of Garo, a former disciple turned enemy who challenges the ideals of heroes and villains alike.

Final Thoughts
With the return of iconic music, the reveal of an experienced director, and visuals that promise intense battles, One Punch Man Season 3 is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling anime releases of the year. Fans have been waiting six years since the last season, and the hype has only grown stronger.
