After months of silence and availability only through digital download, RWBY is making a triumphant return to streaming in the United States. The iconic CG animated series, created by the late Monty Oum and developed by Rooster Teeth Animation, is officially coming to Hulu on July 5. The announcement was shared with fans on social media, accompanied by an enthusiastic message encouraging longtime viewers and new fans alike to prepare for an epic binge session.

Every volume of RWBY will be available to stream, marking the first time in months that the full series has been accessible in one place. The return includes all of RWBY’s signature moments from breathtaking battles and heartbreaking turns to moments of growth, friendship, and team unity. Whether you have followed Team RWBY from the very beginning or are stepping into the world of Remnant for the first time, this release offers the perfect opportunity to dive in.

While Hulu had briefly listed RWBY in its initial July schedule earlier this year, the listing was later removed without clarification. Now, fans can officially mark their calendars with confidence. RWBY will be offered in both English subbed and dubbed formats, ensuring accessibility for a wide audience. At this time, there is no confirmation regarding availability on international platforms such as Disney Plus, leaving non U.S. fans waiting for further updates.

RWBY began as a web series in 2013 and quickly evolved into one of the most influential and internationally recognized anime style projects to come out of the United States. With an art style inspired by Japanese animation and storytelling driven by themes of courage, unity, and sacrifice, the series became a global success. In 2014, it also made history as the first American produced anime to be dubbed and released in Japan.

Set in a fantastical world haunted by terrifying creatures of darkness known as Grimm, RWBY follows the story of four young women training to become Huntsmen and Huntresses at the prestigious Beacon Academy. Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long each bring their unique abilities and complex backstories to the team, and over the years, they have faced battles that go far beyond the walls of their school. Their journey is one of strength, resilience, and standing together in the face of overwhelming odds.

The series has since expanded into a much larger universe. Spinoffs like RWBY Chibi brought a comedic take to the franchise, while RWBY: Ice Queendom explored a darker alternate storyline. RWBY has also crossed into other franchises with ambitious projects such as its Justice League crossover. Its reach now spans novels, manga, video games, and an ever growing line of collectibles and apparel.

In July 2024, VIZ Media acquired the RWBY IP and hinted at an exciting future for the franchise. According to their announcement, new stories featuring the beloved cast are already in development. Although details remain under wraps, the return of the original series to a major platform like Hulu is a strong signal that RWBY is not slowing down. It is evolving once again and drawing in a new generation of fans while reigniting the passion of longtime supporters.

For now, all eyes are on July 5. With every volume at your fingertips and the promise of more to come, RWBY is once again ready to show why it remains one of the most celebrated animated titles of the past decade.
