Tougen Anki: Legend of the Cursed Blood is preparing to return this October with the start of its much-anticipated Nerima Arc. The announcement came with an exciting new trailer and key visual that showcase the darker tone of the upcoming story while also giving fans a glimpse at new characters who will shape Shiki Ichinose’s journey.

The second cour will feature a brand new opening theme titled “AMIDAKUJI” performed by CHOGAKUSE and a new ending theme “ACTION” by eill, both of which can already be heard in the trailer. Fans can also look forward to the introduction of several new characters, voiced by an impressive cast including Atsushi Tamaru as Masumi Yodogawa, Haruki Ishiya as Kaoru Namikido, Shunichi Toki as Mikado Momodera, Chiharu Sawashiro as Shinya Momoiwa, Shintaro Asanuma as Tsukuyomi Momoka, and Yuki Ono as Osuke Momokado.

The anime has quickly become one of the most widely streamed titles of 2025, available on Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Prime Video, along with multiple regional platforms across Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Its global reach has helped introduce a new wave of viewers to Yura Urushibara’s manga, which has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion since 2020 and has already sold over 4 million copies in Japan.

Directed by Ato Nonaka with Hiroyuki Hashimoto as assistant director, Tougen Anki continues to deliver high-impact storytelling. The scripts and series composition are written by Yukie Sugawara, while Ryoko Amisaki provides the striking character designs. The music, composed by KOHTA YAMAMOTO and produced by Pony Canyon, further enhances the show’s intense atmosphere.

The main voice cast features Kazuki Ura as Shiki Ichinose, Hiroshi Kamiya as Naito Mudano, and Koutaro Nishiyama as Jin Kogasaki, with additional characters introduced throughout Cour 1 such as Kuina Sazanami, Rokuro Kiriyama, Jyuji Yusurube, Ikari Yaoroshi, and Homare Byoubugaura. With Cour 2 now on the horizon, the Nerima Arc promises to expand the stakes even further, blending family conflict, supernatural battles, and the curse of bloodline power.

Tougen Anki has already cemented itself as one of the standout new anime of the year, and its return in October is set to be an event fans around the world will not want to miss.
