Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has officially dropped the first full trailer for its highly anticipated Infinity Castle Movie 1. The film will premiere in Japan on July 18 and roll out internationally between August 14 and September 25. Titled Akaza’s Return, the movie marks the first chapter in a trilogy that will bring the final arc of the manga to the big screen. With its debut just days away, fans have been gifted a new trailer, stunning key visuals, and a powerful soundtrack featuring returning artists LiSA and Aimer.
LiSA, who has been the musical heartbeat of the Demon Slayer franchise since the very first season, returns with a new track titled Shine in the Cruel Night. Her previous work on Gurenge, Homura, and Akeboshi made her synonymous with the emotional intensity of the series. Aimer, known for her hauntingly beautiful songs from the Entertainment District Arc, also joins with a brand new song titled A World Where the Sun Never Rises. Together, the duo is expected to deliver a sonic experience that matches the scale of the Infinity Castle arc.
The movie is being animated by ufotable, the same studio responsible for the breathtaking visuals that have defined the franchise. Crunchyroll has confirmed that the film will see a global release on an unprecedented scale. From the explosive fight choreography to the emotionally charged character arcs, Infinity Castle promises to be the most intense entry yet in the Demon Slayer saga.
This new film picks up where the Hashira Training Arc left off. As the Demon Slayer Corps prepares for their ultimate battle, Muzan Kibutsuji launches a surprise attack at the Ubuyashiki mansion. In the chaos that follows, Tanjiro and the Hashira are plunged into the heart of the demons' stronghold. The Infinity Castle becomes the battleground for a showdown that could end it all. With stakes higher than ever and the fate of the world hanging in the balance, every frame of this movie seems crafted to deliver an unforgettable climax.
The full Japanese and English voice cast will return to reprise their iconic roles. Fans will once again hear Natsuki Hanae and Zach Aguilar as Tanjiro, Hiro Shimono and Aleks Le as Zenitsu, and Akari Kito and Abby Trott as Nezuko. The ensemble cast also includes favorites like Saori Hayami, Tomokazu Seki, Kana Hanazawa, and many more. The return of Akaza, voiced by Akira Ishida in Japanese and Lucien Dodge in English, will serve as the central focus of this movie, setting the tone for the remaining two films in the trilogy.
In the weeks leading up to the premiere, a countdown campaign has featured daily character visuals, building excitement for the film’s release. From Tanjiro to Gyomei, every key player has received their moment in the spotlight, reminding fans of the emotional journey ahead.
Alongside the movie, 2025 is shaping up to be a massive year for the franchise. The video game sequel Hinokami Chronicles 2 is set to release on August 1 with new character abilities and story modes. A new fashion collaboration with UNIQLO is also in the pipeline, keeping Demon Slayer fans well fed across media.
The Infinity Castle trilogy will serve as the final act of Koyoharu Gotoge’s beloved manga, which ended in 2020. With ufotable’s signature animation, a returning voice cast, and two of the most celebrated anime singers in Japan delivering the theme songs, this movie is more than just a release. It is the beginning of the end for one of the most beloved stories in anime history.
