VIZ Media has officially joined the MANGA MIRAI platform, marking a major expansion in the digital manga space. Just ahead of its Anime Expo 2025 appearance, the platform confirmed that it began rolling out VIZ Media titles starting June 24. This collaboration brings a huge library of North American manga titles to MANGA MIRAI, with thousands of volumes expected to be added in phases through the coming months.
Launched in March 2025, MANGA MIRAI is a collaborative project between NTT DOCOMO, MyAnimeList Co., Ltd., Akatsuki Group, and MEDIA DO Co., Ltd. With the goal of making manga more accessible and interactive, the platform has already attracted attention for its curated campaigns and mobile first design. Now, with the addition of fan favorite series from VIZ Media, it is quickly becoming a go to hub for readers who want an official and user friendly experience.
The first wave of titles includes megahits like One Piece, Naruto, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, and Call of the Night. Two more heavily requested series, Uzumaki and Komi Can’t Communicate, will be made available starting July 1. This lineup is not just nostalgic for longtime fans but also introduces a younger audience to essential titles through an accessible platform.
To celebrate the arrival of VIZ Media content, MANGA MIRAI is launching a limited time campaign titled “Adapted to Anime” from July 1 through July 31. Readers can enjoy a 50 percent discount on eight anime adapted titles including My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, WITCH WATCH, Me & Roboco, Sakamoto Days, Kaiju No. 8, Dandadan, Call of the Night, and Dr. STONE. This offer will be available to both new and existing users and is part of the platform’s ongoing mission to reward loyal readers while drawing in fresh users through special campaigns.
The long term vision for MANGA MIRAI is ambitious. By August 2025, the service aims to host nearly 20,000 manga volumes across publishers, making it one of the most expansive digital manga libraries available to international audiences. This includes content not only from VIZ Media but also from other global and Japanese publishers. Each addition strengthens the platform’s position in a growing digital readership market that values both official licensing and smooth user experience.
MANGA MIRAI’s debut at Anime Expo 2025 is scheduled from July 3 to July 6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Their booth, located at WF6 in the West Hall Lobby, promises to be more than just an exhibit. Attendees will be treated to a hands on experience that includes a manga reading corner with free physical books, digital reading stations with iPads, and even a themed photo zone for fans to snap memories. Exclusive merchandise will be available through a gacha machine, and users who show proof of title purchases on MANGA MIRAI will be eligible for additional limited edition gifts.
With the growing demand for high quality, accessible manga outside Japan, MANGA MIRAI’s partnership with VIZ Media comes at a time when digital platforms are reshaping how fans discover and read their favorite stories. This launch not only adds depth to the platform’s library but also signals a growing trend of global inclusivity in manga distribution.
