Netflix is giving One Piece fans a reason to relive the Straw Hat crew’s earliest adventures in stunning HD. The platform will begin streaming remastered episodes from the anime’s East Blue saga, starting November 15, 2025, with additional batches arriving on December 15 and January 15. In total, 47 episodes will be added, enhancing the series’ visual quality while staying true to the original art style.

These episodes mark a significant addition to Netflix’s anime lineup. The East Blue saga, which spans the first five dozen episodes of the show, introduces fans to Monkey D. Luffy’s dream of becoming the Pirate King and his early journey across the seas. It’s the arc that set the foundation for the Straw Hat Pirates and gave fans their first taste of iconic characters such as Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji.
Netflix’s push to remaster these early episodes aligns with Toei Animation’s ongoing efforts to modernize One Piece for new audiences. Fans are also eagerly awaiting the WIT Studio remake of the East Blue saga, which will debut later on Netflix. While the remake has no confirmed release date yet, this remastered release gives longtime fans a perfect reason to revisit where it all began.
As the story progresses toward the Elbaf arc in 2026, the excitement surrounding One Piece continues to build. Recently, a teaser featuring the voice of Kenjiro Tsuda hinted at the introduction of Shanks’ twin brother, adding even more mystery to what’s next.
For anime fans who have followed Luffy’s journey from the start, the new HD episodes will bring a nostalgic yet fresh experience to their screens.
