The excitement is building for Chained Soldier Season 2 as the first official trailer has been released, giving fans a glimpse of the commanders leading the Demon Defense Force and hinting at the intense battles and adventures to come. The anime adaptation is being produced by Passione in collaboration with Hayabusa Film and is scheduled to premiere in January 2026.

The trailer introduces the leaders of the ten squads, each with a distinct personality and combat style. Konomi Tatara leads the first squad, Mira Kamiunten commands the second, Belle Tsukiyono heads the third, Yakumo Ezo oversees the fifth, Tenka Izumo leads the sixth, Kyoka Uzen commands the seventh, Varvara Pilipenko leads the eighth, Fubuki Azuma oversees the ninth, and Ren Yamashiro serves as both the supreme commander and leader of the tenth squad. These characters are expected to bring new dynamics and excitement to the story as they face challenges in the dangerous Mato dimension.

The creative team for the second season includes director Masafumi Tamura, series composition and screenplay by Yasuhiro Nakanishi along with Ohine Ezaki, Takahiro Nagase, and Kyota Kano. Character designs are by Keiya Nakano, and the concept composition is led by Jumpei Takatsu. Shino Ohara is in charge of art direction with Sakie Suzuki as the color designer assisted by Mai Kabatani. Koji Hayashi handles photography, and Takayuki Taba of Sanzigen oversees CG direction. The music is composed by KOHTA YAMAMOTO, while Chikako Yokota directs the sound with DAX Production responsible for sound production. Editing is completed by Ayako Tan.

The voice cast includes Yuya Hirose as Yuuki Wakura, Akari Kito as Kyoka Uzen, Yume Miyamoto as Himari Azuma, Mari Hino as Shushu Suruga, Hina Tachibana as Nei Okawamura, Maaya Uchida as Tenka Izumo, Nene Hieda as Yachiho Azuma, Reina Ueda as Sahara Wakasa, Kana Hanazawa as Ren Yamashiro, Yu-ri Yoshida as Ginna Bizen, Tomori Kusunoki as Aoba Wakura, Sayaka Senbongi as Coco Zenibako, Rina Hidaka as Naon Yuno, Mako Morino as Shikoku, Kujira as Rairen, and Hitomi Nabatame as Jouryuu. This talented ensemble promises to bring depth, intensity, and charisma to the characters.

Chained Soldier, also known as Mato Seihei no Slave, is based on a manga series written by Takahiro, the author of Akame Ga Kill, with illustrations by Yohei Takemura. The story is set in Japan where mysterious gates to a perilous dimension called Mato, or the Demon City, have appeared. Special peaches growing in this dimension grant unique abilities, but only to girls. The series follows Yuuki Wakura, a high school boy who is unexpectedly drawn into one of these gates and saved by Kyoka Uzen, the stunning commander of the seventh squad. In a surprising turn of events, she orders Yuuki to become her slave, plunging him into a dangerous and thrilling adventure that explores battles, strategy, and the complexities of the Demon Defense Force.

Chained Soldier Season 2 promises to captivate audiences with its high-stakes action, strong character dynamics, and immersive world-building. Fans can look forward to an exciting continuation of the story in January 2026.
