Anime fans can rejoice as The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Love You, also known as Hyakkano, officially returns for a third season in 2026. The announcement came with a new teaser visual and trailer, along with the reveal of Rentaro’s newest girlfriends, Chiyo Iin and Naddy, who are set to join the ever-expanding cast of love-struck heroines.
The Chaotic Romance Continues

Based on the manga written by Rikito Nakamura and illustrated by Yukiko Nozawa, The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Love You has become one of the most talked-about romantic comedies in recent years. Serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since 2019, the manga currently spans 23 volumes, with the 24th scheduled for release in December 2025.
The story follows Rentaro Aijo, a kind-hearted boy who, after being rejected 100 times, is told by the God of Love that he is destined to date 100 people. However, there’s a catch — if he fails to reciprocate any of their feelings, they will die. What follows is a wild, over-the-top journey of love, comedy, and absurd devotion as Rentaro juggles his ever-growing number of girlfriends while trying to keep them all happy.
The Team Behind The Third Season
Season 3 will once again be animated by Bibury Animation Studios, known for maintaining the series’ colorful energy and emotional charm. Directed by Hikaru Sato, both previous seasons aired to great success, with the first premiering in October 2023 and the second in January 2025.
Returning voice actors include Wataru Kato as Rentaro Aijo, Kaede Hondo as Hakari Hanazono, and Miyu Tomita as Karane Inda, among many others. New characters Chiyo Iin and Naddy will bring even more energy and chaos to Rentaro’s love-filled world.
A Record-Breaking Romantic Comedy
The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You recently achieved an unusual milestone — it was officially recognized by Guinness World Records for featuring the longest monologue in a Japanese-language animation. This achievement only adds to the show’s growing reputation as one of the most unique and self-aware comedies in modern anime.
Crunchyroll will continue streaming the new season globally, ensuring fans around the world can follow Rentaro’s endless romantic escapades.
A Love Story Like No Other

From the ridiculous premise to its surprisingly heartfelt moments, Hyakkano has captured audiences with its perfect mix of humor and sincerity. Season 3 promises to deliver even more outrageous situations, heartfelt confessions, and unexpected twists as Rentaro’s journey to love all 100 girlfriends continues.
