The acclaimed Look Back anime film by Tatsuki Fujimoto is getting a special exhibition in Tokyo. Titled Look Back Theatrical Animation Exhibition – Kiyotaka Oshiyama: Emotions in Lines, the event will run from January 16 to March 29, 2026, at Azabudai Hills Gallery.
Directed and curated by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, the exhibition offers a deep dive into the film’s creative process, showcasing original sketches, concept art, and never-before-seen materials. Visitors will also experience interactive exhibits, including life-sized recreations of Fujino’s room and Kyomoto’s hallway, letting fans step directly into the emotional world of Look Back.
The exhibition highlights Fujimoto’s storytelling brilliance and Oshiyama’s animation artistry. Fans can explore a tunnel of evolving art that traces the journey from rough storyboards to finished animation, complemented by commentary from the director himself.
