Toho has unveiled an exciting new teaser for Jujutsu Kaisen Execution – Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins, released on November 3, 2025, giving fans their first glimpse at the much-awaited confrontation between Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji Itadori. The teaser features Yuji recalling a crucial lesson from Gojo Satoru, his mentor, adding emotional weight to the intense sequence.
The upcoming film is scheduled to hit Japanese theatres on November 7, 2025, with international releases to follow shortly after.
A Bridge Between Arcs
The movie will act as a bridge between Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2’s Shibuya Incident Arc and the upcoming Culling Game Arc featured in Season 3. It will serve as both a recap and a preview — compiling highlights from the Shibuya Incident while screening the first two episodes of Season 3, building anticipation for what’s next in the franchise.
Fans who followed Season 2 will recognize many of the pivotal moments that defined the series’ tone and intensity, while also getting an early look at the next chapter of Yuji and Yuta’s intertwined fates.
Continuing the Franchise’s Legacy
Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen aired in 2023, spanning two continuous cours and adapting the Hidden Inventory / Premature Death and Shibuya Incident arcs. The upcoming Season 3, set for release in 2026, will continue the story from that point, exploring the devastating consequences of Gojo’s sealing and the chaos that follows.
This new film marks another step in expanding the Jujutsu Kaisen universe, following the success of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which premiered in Japan in December 2021 and became a major global box-office hit.
From Manga to Global Phenomenon
The Jujutsu Kaisen manga, written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2018 to September 2024, with 28 volumes published as of October 2024. The series has achieved massive global success, boasting over 100 million copies in circulation across print and digital editions, including Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and related novels.
With this new teaser, Toho has reignited fan excitement worldwide, setting the stage for one of the biggest anime events of 2025.
